PC-5 — Particleboard Core
The everyday workhorse: a bonded 5-ply particleboard core under a WDMA "A" veneer face.
Particleboard, structural composite, fire-rated, and lead-lined doors — wood-veneer or plastic-laminate faces, built to ANSI/WDMA I.S.1A and AWI Section 1300 and machined to your hardware schedule, from our shop in Houston, Texas.
Every door leaves the shop with a labeled core, a WDMA "A" grade veneer or plastic-laminate face, and the hardware machining your schedule calls for — built to ANSI/WDMA I.S.1A and AWI Section 1300.
PC-5, PC-3 & PLAM — bonded particleboard cores faced in wood veneer or decorative plastic laminate, with HDF crossbands.
SCL-5 — a laminated strand lumber core for heavy-duty screw-hold and abuse resistance. No blocking required.
MC5-45, MC5-60 & MC5-90 — 45-, 60-, and 90-minute labeled assemblies in agrifiber and mineral cores, ITS-WHI listed.
PC-7 — a lead-lined 7-ply particleboard core for radiation-shielded openings in imaging and dental suites.
Commercial doors are specified by their construction. Here's the section every Stellar door is built to — read from the face inward.

Heavy-duty and shielded constructions for openings with extra demands — high-traffic abuse resistance, superior screw-hold, or radiation shielding.
A laminated strand lumber (LSL) core for maximum durability and screw-hold — no blocking required anywhere in the door.
A 7-ply particleboard core with continuous lead lining for radiation-shielded imaging and dental openings.
Every door program above has a downloadable cut sheet and machine sheet.

Yes. Pre-fitting, beveling, lock and hinge mortising, and other hardware preps are available. Top rail, bottom rail, stiles, and special blocking can also be specified to meet specialized hardware requirements — just send the schedule and templates.
They can. The MC5 fire-rated doors take the same WDMA "A" grade veneer faces as the PC-5 and SCL-5 standard doors, so a rated opening reads identically to the non-rated doors beside it.
Interior use only. Every door carries a full warranty for the life of the original installation; there is no exterior warranty.
